Scrapper
I looked the limbs
both up and down but found
No buds alive save one along the distal end
Whose efforts to survive the fingered round
Of sunlight let it trend to take its bend.
I listened to the songs of finches court
Refrain and answer both enriching me.
I heard the owls witch-like cries cut short
While diving 'pon the prey I dared not see.
The cat I loved has gone I know not where.
His aquiescence to the food chain done
So suredly as I could not compare
To when my course on earth will finally run.
yet, He, eternal, in the heavens posed.
As, He, on earth has merely but disposed.
