A Man for All Seasons
A man for all the seasons came our way
Before we thought his time was rightly
due
Refreshing in the ways we'd see him
play
And blessing us before we had a clue.
He saw all things so clearly and
amazed
All soft-serve souls with just his
pow'r to pense
Magnificently keeping us unfazed -
Lambasting few who stayed upon their
fence.
In many ways the best of all the rest
Not counting those who p'litely
righted wrongs
Continuing the test to touch the
breast
Of some sound soul who'd come to tease
the throngs.
Let all who'd bray ne'er join us in
this church
Nor wallow 'pon predicaments' pale
perch.
