The
Wilderness of Weary Men
The wilderness of
weary men such time
Doth draw as wild herds of wildebeasts
Stampede oblivious to dusts of lime
Which veil the veld obscuring lion feasts.
The pain they bear such certain treasures yield
As counterfeit the darkened tears above
Like rain descending 'pon some distant field
Decrying all who suffer for their love.
The recreation procreation brings
Into our lives a noble purpose seems.
Yet for the consequences that act sings
No music can detain the dappled dreams.
The why's and wherefore's we could do without
No longer seem to make us puff and pout.
