A Mystical Montage?
You say you wish
that I'd know you for you
And yet I struggle just to find out how.
The little hints you've managed may be true
Yet fail to fill the canvas I see now.
Some melancholia that's there repressed
Implies a tapestry that's filled with pain.
The migraine which afflicts you too suggests
Some vibrant oils from which you refrain.
I love Impressionistic art for sure -
Myopia my frailty yes that's clear.
How long these wispy paint strokes take to cure
Is no enduring obstacle I fear.
So, pray, Diana, draw me close to you.
Leave no detail unbrushed as but some clue.
