The strengths of
love's illusions impact all
As on we fantasize along life's way.
Why cannot we perceive that we will fall -
Pure underlings who cannot stand the fray?
The days have come and gone when I was strong
Yet now my mind more clearly sees the fog
That hid the deeper meanings all along
Of maids who deemed me just some other log.
Into his DNA God's thoughts programmed -
Into the merry tapestry of life.
So when our primal nature gets us damned
Whom do we blame for causing us such strife?
Hence now my wisdom ration'lizes thus:-
Believe me, Bud, it merits not more cuss.
